The Figma T-ELOS just got a small little preview from the figma blog and it looks absolutely fantastic. I do believe it has become something I must order to go with my KOS-MOS. She’s going to retail at 4000 Yen and barring any delays will be released in September. I know this is one I’m not going to be passing up.
[Thanks to Plastikitty for giving me the heads up]
Max Factory’s Catherine of Catherine
First and foremost, please allow me to say that my pictures do not do this figure justice. No matter how much I tried, I just could not capture the sheer absolute beauty of Catherine. May I also say, that of the 100+ figures I currently own, she is by far my absolute favorite? As soon as I saw her in the box, I knew I’d found the one.
Despite the somewhat strange pose, Catherine looks good at every angle, and you’ll notice, depending on where you are (or where the camera is positioned), her expression changes.
I could honestly rant and rave about her for hours, but I’ll let the pictures do the talking… As long as you take my word that these pictures only do a mediocre job relaying how stunning she is, of course!
When levelgrind Takes Photos of Catherine, it would be a crime not to Reblog them where they are relevant. And I do believe these are relevant to the Bowtie Cats
It’s time for a Wonder Festival Vocaloid party
The first thing to look at, and the one I’m most excited about is the Tony Taka Luka. The first figure in this set (Miku) came out a little bit disappointing due to some odd paint choices on the final version but this time around it’s looking absolutely spectacular and I really can’t wait to add it to my collection.
Good Smile also joined the party with a few announcements of the 1:8 Scale Cheerful Miku and a Redjuice 2011 Racing Miku figure. Both pretty good looking but I like the color and life of the Cheerful Miku who is just ridiculously peppy.
Also announced was the 2012 racing Miku design which is getting both a figma and a nendo. Seems like a pretty cute design but I’ll be more interested when we actually see figures start showing up. We also have art for a Nendoroid of Gumidoesn’t show up that often when it comes to figures.
Finally it’s the Nendo petit set with the Append versions of Miku, Rin, and Len.
I have to admit, I haven’t been as excited for a weekend in a long time as I was coming in to this weekends Toystravaganza that is both the New York Toy Fair and WOnder Festival in Japan. Wonder Festival was an explosion of all sorts of nerdy plastic things and (Now that I have uploads again) I can finally bring you more news on stuff that was shown off in a more organized way. We’ll start with some of the glorious Persona 4 related figures.
We’ll start this club in color with the glorious announcements I can say I did not see coming. I thought it would be a while before we started seeing Figma’s and Nendos of Persona 4 characters. But nope, right from the start we got an announcement and a display of full sculpted Figmas of Chie and Yukiko. The only way this would be better is if it turned out Chie had a giant slap of Steak or bowl of steak as an accessory because well, FSTEAK.
After them gals you have Good Smile jumping in on the party with the glorious Nendoroid Yukiko. The fact that they are doing one makes me really excited that they might end up doing the entire cast, or at least ALL of the ladies. It would be even better if they did multiple Teddies (Especially Alice Teddie. Alice Kuma is the best Alice in Wonderland Cosplaying Bear)
Finally we were shown fully sculpted versions of the ridiculously awesome Megahouse figures of Yu Narukami (Souji Seta) and Konohana Sakuya. I have to say, Yukiko’s Persona looks utterly freaking amazing. Like really I am absolutely blown away bu the sculpt on that thing. Stunning work all around on this line.
That’s it for persona. Stick around today for more news from Wonderfestival and come back over the next couple nights for looks at some of the amazing toys that were on display at Toy Fair from our amazing friends at Plastikitty who are on location to bring us the best photos you will find from the show floor.
The Saber Bride Figma was Shown off in Famitsu and it is utterly ridiculous and amazing. It was a bonus with a version of Fate/Extra and y’know…I want it so damn bad it’s not even funny. By far one of the best looking bonus figures I’ve seen come with a game.

Hello readers, I’m the new guy to the site bringing with me expertise in an area that always needs a little bit of expertise. I’m pretty much the master of the toy posts. What better thing to start off with that to bring news of this glorious piece of work from Max Factory that was spotted by my good friends over at Plastikitty.com This is the first time she’s been on display in a place that isn’t marked do not photograph so we can finally begin posting images of the gal.
Currently there aren’t really affordable ways to get a figure of Zero Suit Samus. Max Factory aims to fix that with this 1/7 scale figure sculpted by Shining Wizard. The figure looks absolutely fantastic and I really can’t wait for it. I’ll be sure to let all you fine people know when she goes up for order but for now we have to be content with salivating over photographs from the convention circuit until they start sending out promotional galleries
