Banpresto and Bandai Namco has released the first batch of information for their long speculated crossover game, Project X Zone (pronounced Project Cross Zone). This crossover brings together some popular characters from Bandai Namco, SEGA, and Capcom’s many franchises.
The game is a strategy RPG in the same vein as Namco x Capcom, and uses a similar battle system/artstyle to said crossover title and the Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier games.
The known cast includes:
Ryu and Ken (Street Fighter)
X and Zero (Megaman X)
Demitri and Dante (Darkstalkers/Devil May Cry)
Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield (Resident Evil)
Sakura and Ōgami (Sakura Wars)
Kurt and Riela (Valkyria Chronicles)
Yuri and Estelle (Tales of Vesperia)
Kite and Blackrose (dot Hack)
Sanger Zonvolt (Super Robot Wars)
Jin and Xiaoyu (Tekken)
KOS-MOS and T-elos (Xenosaga)
Toma and Cyrille (Shining Force EXA)
Ulala (Space Channel 5)
Akira and Pai Chan (Virtual Fighter)
Enemies include franchise grunts like Mets and the Gnosis to bosses and rivals like Nemisis and Dural.
The game is expected to be on the Japanese Nintendo 3DS later this year.
